Your stay way out west

There's nothing like it...

Dust off your cowboy hat, pull on your jeans and cowboy boots and strap on some gun leather to experience the Old West with us at Mellonsfolly Ranch.

Your western journey begins when you check in at Miss Nancy Ann’s Hotel. Step back in time to enjoy the ambiance of our luxurious appointed rooms and stroll down the boardwalk as the Old West comes alive before your eyes. We offer all the activities you expect from the Old West, gun slinging, horse trail rides, poker, billiards and much more.

Your Western Stay

Your unique western experience will begin when you check-in at Miss Nancy Ann’s Hotel. From there you will be personally escorted to your room, named and themed after historic characters of the Old West.

The Lucky Strike Saloon is where our western hospitality and cuisine comes together. During your stay you will be served hearty cowboy food from our set menu dining options. We will of course cater to any special dietary requirements when advised.

After dinner relax…with a game of cards, watch your favourite western movie in our theatre or belly up to the bar in the Lucky Strike Saloon and the Honky Tonk Piano, we know its here that the Town comes alive. We are not licenced for BYO.

The Old West Town is yours to enjoy. All our buildings are non-smoking. The only smoke we want to see is ‘gun smoke’. You are fee to smoke on the boardwalk outside. We respect our Guests' privacy with reservation only entry to Mellonsfolly Ranch.

What to Bring

When City Slickers or Greenhorns come out west they often need to bring a few extras to ease themselves into the Western way of life. Western Gear is encouraged, Jeans and western shirt are just fine.

Cowboy/Cowgirl kit out is complimentary including guns and stetsons, and our Costume Room houses a small selection of western costumes, saloon dresses for the cowgirls and waistcoats for the cowboys if you forget or leave something back in the city.  Our General Store also has plenty of stock if you want to take some of the Old West home.

If visiting in the wet season, remember to  pack clothing/footwear for warm, cold and wet weather conditions to make your stay comfortable and as enjoyable as possible.

The Old West Town is deliberately remote. There is no cellphone or radio reception. The closest medical services are 50mins by road. A helicopter service is available in the area for emergency only. Appropriate safety equipment is supplied for all activities.
